Morning meeting 06/10/2019

Our meeting today was led by Band Sergeant David Kendall. With the theme ‘The mercy seat’, David reminded us that the mercy seat is always open and can be used when ever or wherever we are. He encouraged us to kneel publicly at our mercy seat, as God will meet us there. In response, one person knelt at the mercy seat.

The band provided the call to worship by playing Noel Jones’ song setting His Grace!

Saviour, hear me while before thy feet
I the record of my sins repeat.
Stained with guilt, myself abhorring,
Filled with grief, my soul outpouring;
Canst thou still in mercy think of me,
Stoop to set my shackled spirit free,
Raise my sinking heart and bid me be
Thy child once more?

Grace there is my every debt to pay,
Blood to wash my every sin away,
Power to keep me spotless day by day,
For me, for me.

All to Jesus by Roger Trigg was the band’s contribution to worship this morning. It features the songs I Surrender All and All There Is of Me

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust him,
In his presence daily live

I surrender all, I surrender all.
All to thee, my blessed Saviour,
I surrender all

All there is of me, Lord,
All there is of me,
Time and talents, day by day,
All I bring to thee;
All there is of me, Lord,
All there is of me,
On thine altar here I lay
All there is of me.

The meeting concluded with the band playing Give To Jesus Glory

Give to Jesus glory,
Give to Jesus glory,
Proclaim redemption’s wondrous plan,
And give to Jesus glory.
