Ritchie Double Celebration

Halloween at B/M's

Last updated: 04/05/2009

Double Celebration

There have been two celebrations in the Ritchie household in the last few weeks:-

Firstly on 28th September 2003 May and Sam Richie (Band Sergeant) celebrated their ruby wedding anniversary, and thank God for 40 happy years together!

Then on Friday 24th October 2003, May and Sam celebrated the birth of a new granddaughter, Holly, who weighed in at 9lbs 5oz. Both Holly and her mum are doing well.

Congratulations to all the Ritchie family!

Halloween At The Bandmaster's House

On 31st October 2003, there were some spooky goings on at the Bandmasters haunted house as celebrities came back from the dead!

Ross Dickie held a Halloween party for some of the youth of corps, and the guests included Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe.  We were all dressed up, from superheroes to scientists, and Peter Pan, fairies, doctors, witches, soldiers and Mrs Claus were also present.

We went round the neighbourhood to some other bandmembers houses “trick or treating” and scaring the neighbourhood children in the process.  It must have been a scary sight to see all of us all walking down the street!

There was music, games and great food, but most of all there was great fellowship and fun.
