Morning meeting 28/07/2019

The band provided Faithful God as the call to worship this morning.

Faithful God, faithful God,
all sufficient One, I worship You.

Shalom, my peace, my strong deliverer,
I lift You up, faithful God.

As our contribution to worship today, the band reminded us that People Need The Lord.

Every day they pass me by
I can see it in their eyes
Empty people filled with care
Headed who knows where

On they go through private pain
Living fear to fear
Laughter hides their silent cries
Only Jesus hears

People need the Lord, people need the Lord
At the end of broken dreams, He’s the open door
People need the Lord, people need the Lord
When will we realise people need the Lord?

We are called to take His light
To a world where wrong seems right
What could be too great a cost
For sharing life with one who’s lost?

Through His love our hearts can feel
All the grief they bear
They must hear the words of life
Only we can share

People need the Lord, people need the Lord
At the end of broken dreams, He’s the open door
People need the Lord, people need the Lord
When will we realise that we must give our lives?
For people need the Lord, people need the Lord

Our meeting today was led by Corps Treasurer Thomas Mathie. He reminded us that God chose us because he loves and forgives us. We simply need to choose God, and He will welcome us into His family.

At the conclusion of worship the band shared the song King of Kings, Majesty.

King of kings, majesty,
God of Heaven living in me,
gentle Saviour, closest friend,
strong deliverer, beginning and end,
all within me falls at your throne.

Your majesty, I can but bow,
I lay my all before you now.
In royal robes I don’t deserve
I live to serve your majesty.

Earth and Heaven worship you,
love eternal, faithful and true,
who bought the nations, ransomed souls,
brought this sinner near to your throne;
all within me cries out in praise.

Your majesty, I can but bow,
I lay my all before you now.
In royal robes I don’t deserve
I live to serve your majesty.

Your majesty, I can but bow,
I lay my all before you now.
Your royal robes I don’t deserve
I live to serve your majesty.

I live to serve your majesty
