Morning meeting 17/06/2018

To prepare us for worship this morning, the band played Paul Drury’s arrangement of the song Such Love:

Such love, pure as the whitest snow
Such love, weeps for the shame I know
Such love, paying the debt I owe
O Jesus, such love

Such love, stilling my restlessness
Such love, filling my emptiness
Such love, showing me holiness
O Jesus, such love

Such love, springs from eternity
Such love, streaming through history
Such love, fountain of life to me
O Jesus, such love

During worship we shared Steve Ponsford’s arrangement of the Matt Redman song 10,000 Reasons, entitled The Break of Day:

Bless the Lord, Oh my soul
Oh my soul, worship his holy name
Sing like never before, Oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing your song again
Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

Bless the Lord, Oh my soul
Oh my soul, worship his holy name
Sing like never before, Oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

You’re rich in love and you’re slow to anger
Your name is great and your heart is kind
For all your goodness, I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

Bless the Lord, Oh my soul
Oh my soul, worship his holy name
Sing like never before, Oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

Bless the lord, oh my soul
Oh my soul, Worship his holy name
Sing like never before, oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore
Forevermore

Bless the Lord, Oh my soul
Oh my soul, worship his holy name
Sing like never before, Oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

Bless the lord, oh my soul
Oh my soul, worship his holy name
Sing like never before, oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

Bless the lord, oh my soul
Oh my soul, worship his holy name
Sing like never before, oh my soul
I’ll worship your holy name

On this Father’s Day, Major Lynda spoke about our Heavenly Father, and the characteristics we can see in Him.

At the end of the meeting we played The Lord is Gracious by Darren Marc Bartlett (arranged by Olaf Ritman). It is based on Psalm 103 and includes the words “The Lord is gracious, abounding in perfect love, and slow to anger. He rules the earth in Heav’n above”
