Morning meeting 12/01/2020

The Salvation Army’s focus for 2020 is God is Infinitely More. So today, on Vision and Commitment Sunday, Melvyn Shanks (deputy bandmaster) led worship and asked us to ask God for more, because God has promised to answer all our requests, big or small, in His way, and in His time.

During worship the band played Paul Sharman’s Everlasting Hope, which features the hymn tune Great Is Thy Faithfulness, and reminds us:

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own great presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today, and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

At the end of worship the band played Leslie Condon’s festival march Celebration.
