Karen / Gary Robb

May 2001 - July 2005

Last updated: 06/09/2009

Captains Karen and Gary Robb were both brought up with the Salvation Army as their church. Gary was born in Falkirk, Stirlingshire and Karen was born in London.

After leaving school Gary worked in the banking and financial sector before moving to the BP Refinery in Grangemouth as a process operator. Karen became a music teacher and worked in Haddington and then Falkirk.

They met through Salvation Army activities: the East Scotland Youth Chorus and Vocational Fellowship. They were married in April 1990 and entered the William Booth Memorial Training College from Bo'ness Corps in September 1994.

They began their officership in Malvern, Worcestershire and spent three years there before being posted to the Isle of Man for two years. In May 2001 they returned to Scotland when appointed Corps officers at Bellshill Corps.
