Have you ever looked at the dictionary definition of the word โsanctifyโ?
Set apart as or declare holy; consecrate; free from sin; purify.
Wouldnโt it be great to be able to say we have been sanctified, that we are consecrated and free from sin? We can make that our aim, but we must seek Godโs help to do so, we will then learn how to become more like Him.
While thinking about being sanctified I was reminded of the words of a Songster song, entitled The chorus says

I pray that we may each open our hearts and minds to God, so we may be filled with the Holy Spirit.
